Hewlett-Packard: Unveils its Palm Vue system for communicating visual patient information including waveforms, vital signs and text messages via wireless transmission. The $25,000 system includes: a dispatch station that sends selected patient data to portable "palmtop" computers in the field via a separately purchased paging service provider's transmitter; five "palmtop" personal computers which receive the data from the pager; a printer; and "training and installation."
