Firms announce that the closing of their previously announced $100 mil. merger will be delayed "until at least Jan. 12, 1995" in accordance with their agreement to allow the Federal Trade Commission more time to investigate the deal. The merger, announced Aug. 31, would give minimally invasive surgery products manufacturer Boston Scientific access to Sunnyvale, California-based CVIS' intravascular ultrasound technology ("The Gray Sheet" Sept. 5, p. 1 ). CVIS says the delay "has not significantly altered the course of the transaction"
