FDA DEVICE INSPECTOR PILOT CERTIFICATION PROGRAM will begin later this year, according to agency staffers. The pilot will be the first phase of a program spear-headed by FDA's Office of Regulatory Affairs and Center for Devices and Radiological Health to give FDA field investigators specialized training in device facility inspections ("The Gray Sheet" June 27, p. 20).
