Executive Summary
Begins clinicals outside the U.S. with its Thera DR dual chamber rate responsive pacemaker for bradycardia indications. The Thera DR, which includes an "automatic mode switching feature designed to prevent an inappropriate pacing rate" if the atrium contracts too rapidly, was implanted in a Canadian patient with bradycardia- tachyarrhythmia syndrome and intermittent complete heart block.
