Firm launches Amplatzer Muscular VSD Occluder for closure of complex ventricular septal defects following PMA approval Sept. 7. The device, which is placed via a transcatheter procedure in patients at high risk for surgical closure, is the latest addition to AGA's Amplatzer line. Also available in the United States are the Amplatzer septal occluder for atrial septal defects, and the Amplatzer duct occluder for closure of patent ductus arteriosus defects.
