Inverness continues acquisition spree

Executive Summary
Waltham, Mass.-based Inverness Medical Innovations acquires home diagnostic services provider Quality Assured Services for $25 million in cash and stock, the companies announce June 18. The deal with the privately held Florida firm "provides Inverness with an established in-home patient service and distribution network and a leadership position in the prescription self-testing market, especially in coagulation monitoring," Inverness says.
