California Institute of Technology and IROC Innocross AG each licensed Avedro Inc. their corneal cross-linking-focused patents. The deals, along with the issuance of two new Avedro patents (which protect a method to release reactive oxygen species in the corneal tissue to control the rate of cross-linking) give Avedro one of the strongest corneal cross-linking patent portfolios in the industry.
