Executive Summary
Cardiology device developer Harpoon Medical Inc. raised $3.2mm so far in its Series A financing led by Epidarex Capital, which was joined by the Maryland Venture Fund, Abell Foundation, and MD angel investors. Earlier this year the start-up licensed cardiac valve repair IP from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Harpoon Medical is incorporating the technology into a minimally invasive image-guided device designed to surgically repair mitral valve function and eliminate regurgitation via a one-hour procedure.
