Executive Summary
EyeTechCare SA (ultrasound-based ophthalmic devices) has raised €10mm ($13mm) through its Series C venture round. Private investor Bernard Chauvin, MD, participated (and will take a seat on the company’s board) alongside current shareholders Omnes Capital (formerly Credit Agricole Private Equity) and SHAM. EyeTechCare will use the new money to finish the EyeMUST 2 international trial of its EYEOP1 device for glaucoma; results are expected to be published next year. Some of the funds will also be used to begin the FDA registration process.
