Executive Summary
Obesity device developer BAROnova Inc. raised a $27.3mm in its Series C round co-led by new backers Boston Scientific Corp. and Sante Ventures. Other first-time investor Lumira Capital and returning shareholders Arboretum Ventures, Highland Capital Partners, and Onset Ventures also participated. The seven-year-old firm will use the funds for ongoing clinical development of its TransPyloric Shuttle weight loss system designed to slow gastric emptying.
