Executive Summary
For €1.8bn ($2.2bn), Montagu Private Equity has sold closely held German device company BSN Medical GMBH to EQT VI, a €4.75bn fund started by fellow private equity outfit EQT in 2011. Other buy-out firms reported to be bidding for BSN included CVC Capital Partners, BC Partners, and Apax Partners. Montagu is rumored to have made a 3x return on the deal.
