Through a registered direct offering, StemCells (develops human neural stem cells, pancreatic stem cells, and human liver engrafting cells into therapeutics) has sold 10mm shares at $1.25--a 19% discount--to net $12mm. Investors received five-year warrants to buy an additional 4mm shares for $1.50. Chardan Capital Markets was the placement agent.
