Executive Summary
NanoString Technologies (gene expression profiling technology) is plannining to raise $30mm through a two-tranche Series C venture round; it has brought in $15mm so far. New investor Clarus Ventures, which led the financing and contributes a board member, was joined by current shareholders OVP Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson. The company will use the funds to commercialize its nCounter analysis system.
