Abbott buys remaining stake of Ibis for $175mm plus earn-outs

Executive Summary
Abbott, which last January had paid $40mm for an 18.6% stake in Isis Pharmaceuticals' Ibis Biosciences subsidiary, is now buying the rest of the unit for another $175mm in cash. Abbott will also pay future earn-outs based on sales of Ibis's instruments and assay kits through 2025.
