Executive Summary
CardioFocus (developing catheters for atrial fibrillation) has brought in $21.5mm with its Series C venture round. HIG Ventures and KBL Healthcare Ventures co-led the financing, and were joined by new backers Accuitive Medical Ventures and Aurora Funds and current investors Oxford Bioscience Partners and SV Life Sciences. The company will use the proceeds to perform a pivotal US trial of its fiber-optic endoscopically guided catheter ablation system.
