Executive Summary
Proteus Biomedical (develops devices for congestive heart failure) closed on a two-tranche $11.6mm Series B private placement led by the Carlyle Group, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, and Adams Street Partners. Other new investors Fletcher Spaght Ventures and Asset Management were joined by Proteus incubator Spring Ridge Ventures. The company raised the initial $5.3mm in January.
