Executive Summary
Boston Scientific has acquired privately held Enteric Medical Technologies (liquid polymer technology) for about $124mm, consisting of $42mm up front and earnouts of $43mm and $39mm. The payment included over $7.7mm to Micro Therapeutics Inc. (devices for vascular disease) in consideration for its 20% voting interest in Enteric (MTI is also entitled to a comparable percentage of the earnouts).
