Executive Summary
Micro Therapeutics (medical devices to diagnose and treat vascular disease) has received $56.2mm from a two tranche financing in which a total of 10.1mm common shares were sold to Micro Investment LLC, a company managed by Warburg Pincus. The first tranche consisted of 2mm common shares sold for $3.75 each (a 31% discount to the market average). The second and final tranche, which resulted in the investor owning 50.24% of the company, was for the sale of 8.1mm common shares for $6 each (about market average).
