As a journalist and communications professional with more than 20 years of experience, Chris has built a reputation as an award-winning editor, storyteller and multiplatform communicator. For his respected Capitol Hill coverage of Congress and federal regulatory agencies as the Washington editor for Medical Device Daily, the Newsletter & Electronic Publishers Association recognized his reporting with its award for Best Investigative Journalism. As communications director for the Medical Device Manufacturers Association, he led the group’s public relations and outreach efforts. For nearly a decade, Chris was editorial director for the medical technology division of Rodman Media, writing, editing and managing the content development for Medical Product Outsourcing and Orthopedic Design & Technology magazines, along with overseeing content for in-person conferences held domestically and internationally. In 2016, Chris became head of the public health business of a Washington-based public affairs firm, providing counsel and creative services for the firm’s nonprofit and federal clients, including HRSA within HHS. Most recently, Chris was the director of public relations for NeighborWorks America, a congressionally funded nonprofit focused on affordable housing. Chris grew up in Massachusetts and North Carolina. He’s a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s school of journalism and has lived in the Washington, DC, area since 2004.
