China to harmonize UDIs, nomenclature: Officials from China's State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) agree to harmonize with international standards in developing unique device identifiers and medical device nomenclature, AdvaMed announces April 22. SFDA also pledged to work with U.S. device firms during implementation of China's new adverse event reporting regulation at the recently concluded discussions of the U.S.-China Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade's Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Subgroup. Chinese and U.S. officials will continue talks on ways to harmonize regulations at a Medical Device Task Force Meeting in China this fall
