Executive Summary
St. Jude Medical: Angie Craig, Smith & Nephew VP-U.S. investor & media relations, is leaving the orthopedics manufacturer this month to take over the VP-communications spot at St. Jude May 1. Craig will assume much of the work currently handled by VP-Corporate Relations Pete Gove, who will depart May 12 to pursue "other personal, community and business interests" (1"The Gray Sheet" March 24, 2005, In Brief). St. Jude Investor Relations Director Laura Merriam will report to Craig. Separately, St. Jude plans to hire a VP-government affairs to fill Gove's public policy duties, which include president of the St. Jude Medical Foundation and treasurer of the firm's political action committee.
