Zimmer inks ceramic deal
PMA application for firm's ceramic-on-ceramic Trilogy AB hip will be filed by year-end, following a pact with German component supplier CeramTec, announced Oct. 15. The ceramic hips have been available in Europe under Zimmer's acquired Centerpulse business. Zimmer anticipates U.S. approval in the second half of 2005.
