Executive Summary
Senate Finance Committee Chair Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) requests General Accounting Office testimony on Medicare overspending for power wheelchairs. In a Feb. 10 letter to Comptroller General David Walker, Grassley asks GAO to prepare for a possible hearing this spring to review systems in place at CMS and its contractors to identify improper payment for power wheelchairs.
