Acquires Miami-based Hansa Research & Development, Inc., the maker of the Hansatome and Automatic Corneal Shaper microkeratomes "used in the majority of refractive surgery procedures worldwide for vision correction," B&L says Jan. 7. The firm purchased Hansa from Johann, Imra and Brigitta Hellenkamp, who will continue to work as consultants for B&L Surgical.
