MANUFACTURER INTERNET LINKS TO OTHER WEB SITES LIKELY TO BE ADDRESSED in an upcoming FDA guidance on Internet promotion, FDA Senior Science Policy Advisor Ilissa Bernstein told attendees at a May 21 Food and Drug Law Institute pharmaceutical update meeting. "One area that we are looking at is giving guidance on website links...in terms of what types of links would be appropriate and which types could be interpreted to misbrand the product." FDA hopes to issue a draft guidance on Internet promotion "some time in the summer," Bernstein said.
