Emerge Labs Says iCare With New Line To Prevent Aging Around Eyes

Emerge Labs brand created by Cleo Londono, director of Metamorphosis Day Spa in New York, targets the "fragile eye area" with the new four-product iCare line it promises will "send crow's feet flying."

New Products In Brief

Boscia: Preservative-free prestige skin-care brand breaks from convention and from its "trademark green-on-white, clean" packaging with launch of peel-off Luminizing Black Mask, priced at $34 for 2.8 oz. and available now at Sephora locations, Sephora.com and BosciaSkincare.com. Product not only strips skin of impurities and excess oil with Calcium Montmorillonite Clay - harvested in France and containing 67 minerals that help to cleanse and exfoliate - but also delivers anti-aging agents, company says. Maritime pine bark extract and rosemary leaf extract offer powerful antioxidant protection, vitamin C brightens skin and reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and witch hazel and eucalyptus extract provide anti-inflammatory and antiseptic benefits, according to boscia, which operates out of Irvine, Calif., but is owned by Yokohama, Japan-based FANCL Corporation. Rather than using "harsh" preservatives in its formulas, company relies on innovative manufacturing and packaging techniques to ensure freshness; its products "have all been tested for freshness for three years from the date of fill," it says

NACDS Marketplace In Brief

L'Oreal: Shipping in July, Collagen Micro-Pulse is a two-step "total eye correction system," introduced at the National Association of Chain Drugstores Marketplace June 5-8 in San Diego, Calif. "Inspired by professional medical techniques," the product consists of a 0.5-oz. anti-aging cream and a battery-operated "micro-pulsating" massager. The cream contains Erasyl to minimize dark circle pigments for brighter eyes and collagen to smooth under-eye wrinkles and crow's feet, while the massager reduces puffiness and under-eye bags and stimulates circulation. L'Oreal says immediately after use, crow's feet will appear smoother and eye bags will appear reduced. Clinical testing supports longer-term results, firm notes. In the U.K., L'Oreal retails a similar product, Dermo Expertise Collagen Micro-Vibration, at Boots for £16.99. Collagen Micro-Pulse will retail for $19.99
