REVLON COLORSTAY LIPCOLOR DRIVES DOUBLE-DIGIT U.S. CONSUMER SALES GAIN in the first quarter of 1995. Benefiting from Color-Stay's increasing dollar share of the U.S. self-select distribution channel, U.S. consumer sales were up 17.2% to $188.3 mil. from $160.7 mil. a year ago, Revlon Consumer Products reported in a 10-Q quarterly financial statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 27. The recently introduced ColorStay lipstick line achieved a 12.4% dollar share of the self-select lipcolor market during the first quarter, up nearly three share points from year-end 1994 ("The Rose Sheet" March 20, p. 3).
