Executive Summary
AGENNIX FERMENTED LACTOFERRIN POSSIBLE INFANT FORMULA INGREDIENT, President and CEO Denis Headon, PhD, suggested at an open meeting on micronutrient requirements for preterm infant formulas. The meeting, sponsored by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology Life Sciences Research Office, was held in Bethesda, Md. March 27. LSRO has been commissioned by FDA to conduct a review of current infant formula standards and nutritional requirements of both term and preterm infants, and compile the information and its recommendations in two reports ("The Tan Sheet" Nov. 18, 1996, p. 6). LSRO expects to complete the report on preterm infant formulas in the fall.
