Acting Associate Commissioner for Regulatory Affairs Ronald Chesemore named permanent associate commissioner. Chesemore has served in an acting capacity since July 1989, when John Taylor retired. Prior to that, Chesemore was director of FDA's Office of Regional Operations in the Office of Regulatory Affairs. He joined the agency in 1967 as an investigator in St. Louis.
