Japanese pharmaceutical firm to open a second R&D laboratory in the U.S. this November in Seattle, Washington. Construction began in June on three floors of a renovated warehouse on Seattle's waterfront. Otsuka opened its first U.S. R&D facility last year in Rockville, MD. Otsuka Pharmaceutical is the fifth largest drug company in Japan with worldwide sales of $1.3 bil.
