QUOTED. Moshe Shoham.
Medtech Insight talked with Moshe Shoham about the innovative technologies and successful medical robotics companies, like Mazor Robotics, that were spun out of his lab at the Technion Institute. See what Shoham said about the future of robotic-assisted surgeries.
“There are some things that a robot can do better than a human and we are going to give them the jobs to do where they excel. The design of the surgery and the decisions are made by surgeons and that will remain for years. Maybe at some point when we have enough machine learning and data, maybe then the decisions will be made by robots.” – Moshe Shoham, head of medical robotics laboratory, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology
