Industry Lobby Group Supports Use Of DPA To Ramp Up PPE Production
In a letter to US Vice President Mike Pence, AdvaMed says it supports the federal government using its broad legal authority under the Defense Production Act to mandate increased production of personal protective equipment for outpatient physicians and health care workers. However, it cautioned the government should use the law to facilitate production rather than to take over medtech manufacturing firms.
