Ethicon Inc. – a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson – is recalling its Echelon Flex Endopath staplers because an out-of-spec component was used in the jaw of the device, leading to misshapen staples. It’s the second high-risk class I recall for Ethicon staplers this year.
