Adavium Medical, a company focused on selling medical devices and diagnostics in Brazil, has appointed Claudia Goulart chief operating officer and president of its diagnostics division. Goulart, who has been a board member of Adavium since 2013, was the former CEO of GE Healthcare for Latin America. She has also held senior leadership roles in a number of private equity-backed companies. Adavium was founded in 2011 and partners with other medtech companies to help them navigate the Brazilian market and commercialize their products in the country. It has expanded its operations over the years through the acquisitions of Brazilian medtech companies; the appointment of Goulart follows the company’s announcement of two more acquisitions, diagnostics firms Alka Tecnologia and Hemogram Industria e Comercio, thus making Adavium the largest Brazilian medical device and clinical diagnostic provider.
