Barry Slowey has been promoted to president of Cook Endoscopy, replacing Bill Gibbons who passed away in October 2015. Slowey most recently served as VP and global leader for that division of minimally invasive device firm Cook Group Inc. He first joined the group as European marketing manager in the firm’s Ireland facility, later becoming the European sales and marketing manager. A specialist in endoscopy, he moved to Winston-Salem in 2002 and was named global sales director for the endoscopy clinical division, before becoming VP and global leader.
