A $29m series B financing will allow 4Tech to complete a feasibility trial of its TriCinch transcatheter tricuspid valve repair system, according to the company.

The TRILUMINATE trial will evaluate safety and effectiveness of its Tricuspid Valve Repair System for treating symptomatic moderate-to-severe tricuspid regurgitation. The device is similar to Abbott's successful MitraClip catheter-based device for treating mitral regurgitation.
The 500-patient REPAIR MR trial will evaluate Abbott’s MitraClip mitral valve repair device in patients who would face moderate risk during open heart surgery. MitraClip is currently approved only for patients who are not surgical candidates.
