Executive Summary
Siemens Healthcare is a non-mover, staying at No 4 in our Clinica 100 league table. It is No 3 in our IVD list and No 2 in Imaging list (as our cut-of date is June 30, 2015*, we have taken Siemens’ figures from fiscal 2014 ending Sept 30, 2014). 2014 marked a year of major streamlining for Siemens as it focuses on its higher-growth, higher margin business. It divested its audiology business to private equity firm EQT in November that year, sold off its health IT business unit to Cerner in August and its microbiology diagnostic unit to Danaher in July. The three deals brought in significant cash for Siemens, with a total value of over $4.42bn.
