Robotic exoskeleton developer Rex Bionics has appointed Crispin Simon CEO; when Mr Simon joins in October 2014, current chief Jeremy Curnock Cook will become the firm’s deputy chair. Rex’s new leader has 25 years’ industry experience, having worked for NM Rothschild, McKinsey, Rexam and Smith & Nephew, where he was latterly president of S&N’s endoscopy division. Most recently, Mr Simon was CEO of UK bead technology specialist Biocompatibles, which was acquired by BTG in November 2010. Since 2012, he has been a director in the UK Government's Department of Business, Innovation and Skills.
