Neovasc reels in cardiovascular sector veteran Bebeau to lead clinical plans

Neovasc, a privately-held Canadian developer of transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) technology, has enlisted Vicki Bebeau as vice-president of clinical affairs. Ms Bebeau brings to the newly-created position 18 years’ experience in clinical trial planning and management; she has previously worked for the heavyweights of the cardiovascular industry including St Jude Medical, Boston Scientific and Medtronic. She joins Neovasc as the Vancouver-based company prepares to begin formal clinical feasibility studies for its Tiara TMVR device later this year. Ms Bebeau will also lead the firm’s clinical program for its Reducer system for treating refractory angina.
