Point-of-care ultrasound specialist Fujifilm Sonosite has appointed Naohiro Fujitani president and CEO after previous incumbent Kevin Goodwin stepped down “to pursue other opportunities.” Mr Goodwin had led Sonosite since its spin-off from ATL Ultrasound in 1998. New chief Mr Fujitani will take on the new role in addition to his current position leading Fujifilm Medical Systems USA, where he has been president and CEO since April 2010. Overall, he has spent nearly 40 years at Fujifilm. Sonosite became a part of Fujifilm in a $995m deal in December 2011.
