CombiMatrix hires new chief medical officer

Prenatal and pediatric molecular diagnostics specialist CombiMatrix has appointed Dr Weslie Tyson chief medical officer, effective 8 April. He replaces Dr Richard Hockett, who resigned on 19 February for “personal reasons” according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). New CMO Dr Tyson has been a practising pediatric and perinatal pathologist for 24 years, and previously worked for UniPath, a multispecialty pathology group, since 2009.
