ANALYSIS: February VC deal volume dampens down

Just as February proved to be the wettest month ever in the history of the UK (home to Clinica’s HQ), it also looks like the mood for medtech investment is dampening. Admittedly, the year had not started with a bang, with Clinica recording only 24 venture financing transactions over $1m in January. However, deal volume contracted even more in February, with only 18 transactions passing our news desk. Year-on-year, this is a 30% drop from the number of deals recorded in the same month last year.
