Bayer veteran Mike Mathews to head up Kinetic Concepts outside US

Wound care specialist Kinetic Concepts is injecting more fresh blood, appointing Mike Mathews senior vice-president, international. Mr Mathews has spent most of his 25-year career at Bayer Health Care, most recently as senior vice-president and region head of North America for the firm's diabetes care unit. In his new role, he will be responsible for managing Kinetic in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific) regions, and emerging markets outside the Americas. As well as identifying opportunities for expansion, he will "seek partnerships in these markets for technology and innovation", Kinetic said.
