GE Healthcare has become the latest company to gain a presence in the next-generation genome sequencing market with the purchase of contract DNA sequencing firm SeqWright for an undisclosed fee. SeqWright will join GE's Clarient molecular diagnostics subsidiary, which it acquired in 2010 for $560m (www.clinica.co.uk, 26 October 2010).
