Swedish healthcare products company Getinge has appointed Heinz Jacqui executive vice-president of its medical systems business, effective 1 April. Mr Jacqui succeeds Heribert Ballhaus, who will retire after more than 10 years heading the unit. Mr Jacqui has over 30 years' experience in the medtech industry, most recently as president of Olympus Medical's surgical endoscope business; he held this role for eight years. Getinge's medical systems unit, which comprises the Maquet brand, offers a wide range of patient monitoring systems and medical furniture used in operating rooms and intensive care units as well as cardiovascular devices.
