Air Products to sell European homecare operations to Linde for €590m

The continental European division of Air Products has agreed to sell its homecare business and other services to Germany’s Linde Group for €590m ($750m). The agreement covers Air Products’ oxygentherapy products, as well as sleep therapy and other services in Spain, Portugal, Belgium, France and Germany. These markets account for some 260,000 patients, said the company from its Madrid-based offices. With regard to its homecare operations in the UK, Ireland, Argentina and Brazil, Air Products said it was considering its options. The agreement is subject to regulatory approval and staff consultations, said the company. Air Products is headquartered in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
