Italy updates information requirements for active implantables

Italy has passed legislation updating the requirements on notified bodies (NBs) to inform the health ministry of developments in relation to the registration of active implantable medical devices (AIMDs). The measures, which also specify obligations on manufacturers to support the NBs’ activities, come into force on 17 October.
