FDA's CDRH sees top tier changes

The US FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health has appointed David Kalins as acting deputy director for regulatory affairs at its Office of Compliance. Mr Kalins was formerly the office's compliance field liaison and third party inspection programme coordinator; he fills the role vacated by Larry Spears, who left the position to join Becker Consulting as vice-president of the quality systems and compliance practice, while the CDRH seeks a permanent replacement (www.clinica.co.uk, 2 September 2011).
