Mr Moffit's knowledge, especially in blood analysis and nanotechnology, is particularly relevant to Microvisk, which has developed a handheld system for monitoring the blood clotting status of patients on the blood-thinning drug warfarin. Mr Moffit is currently president and CEO of Nanosphere, a US company developing nanotechnology-based diagnostics.
