Executive Summary
Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) for severe acute respiratory failure in adults is among the latest round of technologies to be assessed by the UK National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), under its interventional procedures programme (IPP). The results of this assessment are due to be available by February 2011.
